GONE TOO SOON: Child Star Actor Dies in Tragic Motorcycle Accident

The entertainment world is mourning the untimely death of Chance Perdomo, the talented young actor known for his roles in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “Gen V.” At nearly 27 years old, Chance’s life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident.

Chance Perdomo captivated audiences with his portrayal of Ambrose Spellman in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” a modern reboot of the beloved series. More recently, he starred as Andre Anderson in “Gen V,” a spinoff of the hit show “The Boys.” His performances earned him widespread acclaim and a dedicated fan base.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Chance’s representatives confirmed the devastating news. “His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life were felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” the statement read. “We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.” Notably, there were no other people involved in the accident.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Chance moved to Southampton, England, during his childhood, becoming a dual citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom. His transatlantic upbringing allowed him to work in film and television on both sides of the pond. In 2018, he garnered a BAFTA nomination for his role in “Killed by My Debt.”

Chance’s versatility as an actor was further demonstrated in his role as Landon in the “After” series, appearing in “After We Fell,” “After Ever Happy,” and “After Everything” from 2021 to 2023. His most recent role as Andre Anderson in Prime Video’s “Gen V” showcased his ability to bring complex characters to life. Andre Anderson, a popular student-turned-superhero-in-training with the power to manipulate magnets, quickly became a fan favorite.

The production of the second season of “Gen V” has been put on hold following the news of Chance’s death. The show’s producer expressed the collective grief felt by those who worked with him, telling Deadline, “For those of us who knew and worked with him, Chance was always happy and smiling. He was an energetic force of nature, a wildly talented performer, and most of all, a very kind and lovely person. It doesn’t make sense to write about him in the past tense. Our hearts go out to Chance’s family; we’re sad about the death of our friend and coworker. Please give your loved ones a hug tonight.”

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television echoed these sentiments, stating, “The whole ‘Gen V’ family is devastated by Chance Perdomo’s sudden death. We extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”

In one of his final social media posts, Chance shared his excitement about being back on the road with his motorcycle. Earlier this month, he posted a series of photos on Instagram, including a stock picture of a bike with the caption, “Day 77. Final calm before storm” and the hashtag “#backontheroad.” These snapshots of his life offered a glimpse into his joy and passion, making his sudden departure all the more poignant.

Chance Perdomo’s tragic passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and fans. His vibrant energy, immense talent, and kind spirit will be deeply missed. As the entertainment industry and the world at large come to terms with this loss, Chance’s legacy will continue through the memorable characters he brought to life on screen.
